The Sun quote a source who reports that a young driver, behind the wheel of a Renault, cut across the people carrier in which Kane's kids were travelling. They collided with the people carrier and sent it spinning towards a Land Rover, but the nanny remained calm and managed to steer out of trouble, avoiding contact with the 4×4.

Kane's kids were all taken to hospital for examination but were all found to be unharmed. Sources quoted by The Sun claim that the nanny bore no responsibility for the crash, with the Renault driver clearly at fault. Nevertheless, they may only face a fine of £150 if found guilty.
