Last month the United women's head physiotherapist Ibrahim Kerem made the switch to join the medical team for Erik ten Hag's side. According to the , members of the WSL outfit are growing increasingly irritated that the men's team keep poaching their staff.

Kerem – who had been United's physio since 2021 – is the second staff member the men's team has recruited from Marc Skinner's set-up in the last 13 months. In November 2022, performance analyst Luke Wright made the same move.

Since Kerem's departure, former Lionesses’ physio Alicia Tang has joined the women's team on an interim basis. Tang was part of England's backroom staff during Euro 2022 and has worked for the Football Association since 2016.
